Contracts & Procurement Specialist


About this role

Brunel have partnered with a leading International OEM to successfully recruit and place a suitably qualified Contracts & Procurement Specialist to support our Client’s Major Projects Portfolio.

The role is responsible for managing all the end to end Procurement and Contracting activities including Sourcing, Issuing RFQ’s/Tenders, negotiating Contracts, compiling Recommendations For Award (RFA’s), Managing Milestone Payment Claims, Contract Variations and Expediting of Goods and Equipment.

  • Issues Tenders and RFQ’s to the market, analyses the responses and makes recommendation to award to the Project Manager;
  • In collaboration with Legal and Commercial personnel, negotiates contract terms and conditions with suppliers. Including departures to any standard Contract clauses relating to liabilities, indemnities, warranties and obligations, intellectual property, confidentiality, expiry or termination, force majeure, insurances or assignment, etc.;
  • Manages Variations to Contracts or Agreements arising from Scope or Specification changes or the resolution of any Contract dispute (including Deeds of Release);
  • Creates and Issues Purchase Orders in SAP;
  • Expedites delivery of Goods, Equipment, QC Documentation and Commercial Documentation such as Bank Guarantees and Insurance Certificates;
  • Manages the Milestone and Schedule payment activities of Contracts and Purchases;
  • Resolves any Invoice discrepancies;
  • Coordinates Freight and Logistics activities, both International and Domestic; and
  • Any other tasks as identified and instructed by the line manager.


  • Tertiary qualification in commerce, engineering or other technical disciplines preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years project procurement experience with an understanding of procurement functions, planning and manufacturing processes in fabrication/manufacturing plants.
  • Experienced in the sourcing and procurement of goods & services associated with materials handling and equipment.
  • Advanced SAP skills.
